Conditions of Membership in Wild Haven Disc Golf Resort
Return to Membership Page
COVID PRECAUTIONS will remain in effect here until further notice, regardless of the lifting of Federal, State or Local restrictions.
The owners have health issues that make them VERY RELUCTANT to open this place up at all. This means only two things need to be done:
No more than 6 people on a tee area at a time; more than 6 MUST play in two (or more) separate groups. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Only one person will be allowed in the Pro Shop at a time, and you MUST WEAR A MASK COVERING YOUR MOUTH AND NOSE.
Alternately, you can ask for a selection of discs and we can bring them out of the shop to the carport for you to
browse. The shop is only 12’ wide, not much leeway to keep 6’ distance in there.
CAMPERS when camping here you need to be responsible for the following:
TRASH - do NOT leave any trash in the buckets near your campsite - those are for the disc golf courses. You need
to bag all your trash and leave it in the Manton Disposal bin which is either under the carport or at the roadside
on trash day, whihc is Monday unless that is a holiday in which case Tuiesday is the pick up day.
FIREWOOD - you can pick up and burn any dead trees or limbs near your site to burn. You must keep all fires within
the metal fire rings, the area can be very dry and prone to wildfires. Make sure your fire is completely OUT if no one
is going to be at your site.
WATER - there is currently no source of water on site, you will need to be responsible for bringing what you need. There
are many places to get water, food and other grocieries either in Manton or a 15 minute drive to more choices in Cadillac.
DOGS are no longer allowed at Wild Haven.
ALCOHOL is allowed on site for those of legal drinking age. Please make use of the trash/recycle bins that are located on every tee
area, or use the trash/recycling bins at the carport. Please EMPTY any liquid from containers before disposing of them, it makes our
clean up job so much easier. Leaving beer cans all over the place will CERTAINLY result in us banning alcohol from here. Keep in mind
the courses were designed for players of ALL SKILL LEVELS including kids (the Purple tees are a big hit with them), so PLEASE keep
your behavior in check if you see families playing. Overly intoxicated and/or rude, obnoxious behavior may result in your membership
WATCH where you walk!! The terrain here is hilly, very sandy in places, and there are holes CONSTANTLY being dug by burrowing animals
(foxes, coyotes, wolves). In the early spring and late fall there have been BLACK BEARS sighted on the property (one was in the 400
Lb range). There are no poisonous plants (ivy/oak/shumac) on the property. There ARE occasional yellow jacket hornet nests in the ground,
particularly in the deep grass areas. Keep an eye out for other players and visitors, many people come here just to walk the property
and are not playing disc golf.
RESPECT the wishes of the property owners AND the immediate neighbors of this property. They have been very kind about allowing this
activity here, which creates some traffic and noise that did not exist before this facility was built. Especially keep your noise levels
down when playing at night. Yetisburg and Little Bigfoot #1 are the closest to the neighbor’s house, so try to be mindful of that.
WEATHER can often change quickly on this property, it is one of the highest elevation points in the entire lower Peninsula of Michigan.
Be prepared for quick changes, and be mindful of severe weather alerts. The wind here is almost constant.
TERMINATION membership may be terminated at any time for any reason by either party. Refunds of paid membership fees will be granted
in most cases of a member voluntarily terminating membership. Refunds may not be issued in cases of rule violations or other harm inflicted
upon the owners or the property.
